Does A High IQ Ensure Your Succesful life?

Do you know your own IQ? Do you know what it means?

     Although the IQ test is very useful, and the results are almost propotional with our idea of intelligence, there has also been a lot of criticism of the test, and of the way the results are used.
     A Canadian television program recently tracked down some of the people with the highest IQ scores in North America. One man who has an extremely high genius IQ works as a motorcycle mechanic, hangs out with biker gangs, and is frequently in and out of jail.
     Another man interviewed on the program has the highest IQ recorded in North America. He has worked as a bouncer in a bar for ten years, earns minimum wage, and lives in a tiny garage. Clearly, a high IQ is not enough to guarantee success in life.
     What IQ tests measure is a certain type of potential. That potential still needs to be developed and nurtured by the person who has it. That person may not have the inclination or desire to do so. Not everyone who has a potential talent also possesses the desire to do something with it. A person may have failed dismally in school, and yet turn out to be a genius in marketing. Is this person stupid, or brilliant? If a man is a great scientist, but can’t ever pick a suitable mate, is he really very smart? Was Picasso inept because he wasn’t also a brilliant mathematician? Was Einstein inadequate because he wasn’t also a great artist? Several experts in the field of intelligence have proposed that we need to broaden our understanding of what intelligence really is, and the role it plays in successful living.
     Psychologist Howard Gardner of Harvard University has suggested that we should consider a wide range of talents and abilities as valid forms of intelligence. In his intriguing book, “Frames of Mind: Theories of Multiple Intelligences”, Gardner has proposed the existence of at least seven types of intelligence: verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, social-interpersonal and intra-personal.
     Another psychologist, Robert Sternberg, has suggested we consider three distinct forms of intelligence. One type is the ability to think logically and rationally, doing well in an academic type of environment.
A second kind of intelligence identified by Sternberg is the ability to come up with creative solutions to real life situations. And the third type, according to Sternberg, is the ability to psychologically understand people and interact effectively with them.
     A very different perspective on the IQ issue is presented by Daniel Goldman in his best-selling book, “Emotional Intelligence”. Goldman offers an explanation for why a high IQ does not always lead to success in career or in life. He says that EQ, or emotional intelligence, has been an overlooked factor that is an extremely important ingredient for success in life.
     An ability to get along with others, to be optimistic, to be determined, are among the many factors that contribute to success, perhaps even more than intellectual ability.
So, if you know your own IQ score, don’t think of it as something that limits or defines your potential. If your IQ is in the average range it does not in any way mean you are limited to a life of average success and average accomplishment. And if your IQ is in the above average range, it does not guarantee you a life of ease. You can’t use either a high IQ score or a low one as an excuse not to try very hard.
Your IQ score is only a number. It does not define you. It does not really limit you. Because there are still many ingredients you have to own to become successful, not only because you are genius. If you want to be successful, just define your own talent and  try to grow up with your talent hard. Because successful depends on your work not your born-lucky, that’s my advice.

BUSWAY is MY LIFE

     Air Pollution is the main enemy of every city people in the world. And may be also the first problem of the world government in this century. Because in this century, Air Pollution is very difficult to be stopped. It is because the number of Air Pollution Producer  always increase and increase every years. Yah, now there are many producer of Air pollution in this world. Such as, motor vehicle fumes, Industrial Factory waste smoke, illegal incinerator, illegal littering etc. And it is a serious problem, you know, because Air Pollution can produce most of disease for city people, mainly Respiration and Digestion diseases. It is proved  on WHO research in 2008 that, ”Respiration and Digestion diseases are The 1st  mass murderer in the world in 2008.” And may be until now.
     As I said, there are many producer of Air Pollution. Such as, motor vehicle fumes, Industrial Factory waste smoke, illegal incinerator, illegal littering etc. But, about 80% of air pollution is produced by motor vehicle fumes which consist of 75% Private Motor Vehicles. And I think that percentage still can increase, because until now the number of Private Motor Vehicles is still increasing.
     In this modern times, every people are accused to be effective in every time. Therefore, don’t be surprised if private motor vehicle is very needed. Moreover, now the price of motor vehicle is cheaper and easily accessible. It makes, most of people buy private motor vehicle. And of course, it also can increase the number of private motor vehicles in the world. But,  the number of private motor vehicle increasing can create some problems. Other than can produce most of diseases, it also can create congestion, and of course can increase the number of accident in the world.
     In Indonesia, those problems have became the main problem, mainly in the big cities. Yah, Pollution, Congestion and Accident can be found easily in every city of Indonesia. For example in Jakarta. If you have ever gone to Jakarta, I am sure, you will immediately imagine it when you hear word “Jammed”. Yah, in Jakarta, congestion is very famous and as if Congestion cannot be stopped in Jakarta. As a Capital City of Indonesia, I think a natural thing if Jakarta is very busy. But, if Government cannot overcome Congestion problem in Jakarta, Economy of Indonesia will be hampered. Actually, Jakarta Government has made some policies to decrease the number of private motor vehicle in Jakarta. But, there has not been satisfactory results until now. Because, nobody can prohibit everybody to have private motor vehicle.
     I am agree to  what Chief Minister of Transport has ever said, if the congestion problem in Jakarta only can be decreased with make sure to Jakarta people if public transport is better than private motor vehicle. Now you imagine, if all people use public transport! It will decrease the number of Pollution until 75% everyday. And can decrease the number of congestion because the road users are more collective. The condition like that can save our earth and of course can increase Economy level of Indonesia. But, how to make sure city people if public transport is better than private motor vehicle?
     Actually, it is not too difficult problem. Because I am sure, basically all city people in the world very want to avoid Pollution in their cities. If we give them 2 options, which both options have almost the same advantages, but the first options produce the number of pollution more than the second option, I am sure they will choose the second option. So, in this case, if Government want to make city people choose public transport more than private motor vehicle, government must can provide many quality public transports which have many advantages like their private motor vehicles.
     For example, in Tokyo. Tokyo is populous city in the world. But, the number of pollution and congestion in Tokyo is less than in Jakarta. Because most of Tokyo people choose public transport more than their private motor vehicles. Because, in Tokyo there are many quality public transport which can ensure comfort and effective time to Tokyo people. Such as, maglev train, subway, professional taxi, bus 24 hour etc. And those public transports not only can decrease the number of pollution and congestion but also can grow the economy of Tokyo until now.
     Actually, city government of Jakarta also have had a alternative way to decrease the number of pollution and congestion in Jakarta. It is busway development. I think it is a clever idea. Because busway development is not as expensive as maglev development or subway development and busway also doesn’t need special pathway. It can save more government budget. But, in the fact, many Jakarta people don’t like busway. Because the management is not good. Busway has not could ensure comfort and effective time to Jakarta people. And Busway is not there in the all time. I think city government of Jakarta must pay attention to these problems and further improve performance of Busway. And we hope congestion and pollution don’t become problem more in Jakarta and the other cities in Indonesia. Because Busway is My Life

THE VICTIMS

     CULTURE is self-esteem of every nation. It is like life-death point of every nation. Yah, the nations which have strong culture will can survive long time in this world. While the nations which don’t have strong culture and they only imitate culture of other nations, I think they only wait the time of other nations to repress them. And moreover, the strong culture can show to other nations if that nation has better civilization in the past time. And it can increase authority of that nation in this time. Therefore, all nations are very sensitive with their culture. And I am sure that every nation will be happy if there are other nations which like and respect to their culture. And every nation will be very angry if there are other nations which harass their culture. Don’t be surprised if from past time until now, there are many cases of culture disputes between nations in this world.
     And if we talk about cultural dispute of Indonesia and Malaysia, actually it’s only an old story. Yah, this story had happened in long time ago. But until now, this story often appear with some episodes. Such as, Batik episode, Barong episode, Pendet episode, Rasa Sayange episode, Reog Ponorogo episode etc. And always there are many interesting action in each episodes. Such as, Indonesian people burn Malaysia’s flag, Indonesian people bring banner (GANYANG MALAYSIA, ANTI-MALAYSIA, MALINGSIA etc), say war between Indonesian people and Malaysian people in Facebook, dirty sentences in some blog and other actions that can decrease dignity of Indonesia and Malaysia. It is embarrassing problem in this world.
     As an East Javanesse people, I know exactly about history of Reog Ponorogo,The legend story of Reog Ponorogo and who the Reog Ponorogo maker. And I brave to ensure if it is 100% Indonesian Cultural. But, is it proper we call Malaysia as Indonesian Cultural Claimer?? Only because there are  many Reog Ponorogo Show  in Malaysia.
     I ever watch a Television Show in TV ONE. It is about adventuring in a village of Malaysia (I forget the village’s name). And I was surprised because in the village,there are some local people who can speak Javanesse and there are some children who play “Pecut-pecutan”. Not only that, some house style and irrigation system are like Javanesse too. And when they are asked by Host, “Why are the cultural here like Javanesse??” the one of them answered,”Because our ancestor are from Java, especially Ponorogo. And what Indonesian people said if we had claimed their cultural is a biggest wrong. Because what we do is only keep what our ancestor give to us. So that, these cultural are famous and axis in Malaysia. And even sometimes, some of us go to Java to learn these cultural anymore.”
     From those statements, I can conclude that actually in the past time, Indonesian people and Malaysian people have same ancestor. So, I think a natural thing if we have  similarities in some sectors, and the one is CULTURAL SECTOR. And a outrageous thing if Indonesian people look it as a problem. As Indonesian people who have these cultural, actually we must be proud and say thank to Malaysian people. Because our cultural are kept and developed in their country. And never call them as Cultural Claimer or Cultural robber.
    Actually,if we look further, in this dispute, Indonesian people and Malaysian people are only a VICTIM. Yah, THE VICTIM of feelings of pride between Indonesia and Malaysia and THE VICTIM of politics and development competition of Indonesia and Malaysia. I don’t know why can it occur. But if Indonesian people and Malaysian people are serious to stop this dispute and make friends more. Let’s we throw our feelings of pride so far away and start our sportive competition. I am sure,,,TOGETHER WE CAN !!!
